Appletree is a one bedroom cottage all on one level. It has a queen bedroom, ensuite shower room. Comfortable lounge and seperate kitchen/diner. It is a Dog Friendly Cottage.

All guests are able to take advantage of our wonderful gardens and fields and our amazing 360° views looking both up to Glastonbury Tor and over the Somerset Levels towards Wells. Our heated indoor swimming pool is open daily. Appletree benefits from full central heating from our Bio-Mass boilers.

Layout of Appletree Cottage

The entrance via a stable door from the main courtyard leads you into a bright kitchen with stunning views over the Mendips, Wells, and its surroundings. A newly renovated kitchen contains all you should require for your stay. The kitchen sits in the middle of the cottage with the lounge next to it.

On the other side of the kitchen is a corridor leading to a newly renovated bathroom. Toilet and sink are Laufen and there is a shower enclosure with electric shower.

Next to the bathroom is the bedroom which has been decorated with locally made hand painted Somerset Pine furniture. In the bedroom and the lounge, there are cute little round windows that are unusual to this age of the property.

The History of Appletree Cottage

Appletree would have originally been one of the farmhouse outbuildings. It backs onto the original kitchen garden so it most probably would have been a food store or workshop.
