The Middlewick Café Glastonbury

The Middlewick Café and Farm Shop features menus designed by our Head Chef, Elliott Leigh, focusing on seasonal and local produce and catering for dietary requirements including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan food. In 2024, we won Gold in the Somerset Tourism Awards and Silver in the South West Tourism Awards. We have over 70 indoor seats and an additional 70 seats outside on the terrace, which offers stunning views of the Mendip Hills. We are dog-friendly indoors and out and have taken care to ensure that the café, car park and bathrooms are accessible.

Local produce, home cooked, seasonal

The Middlewick Food

Head Chef Elliot and his team have created a menu to showcase Somerset’s amazing produce. In addition to our regular menus, you will find daily specials using seasonal produce from local and hyper-local suppliers including our neighbours at White’s of Wick who rear homebred, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus Beef. We source organic salad from our next-door-neighbours at Paddington Farm. The edible flowers in our salads are grown on site in our own gardens.

There are over 12 types of tea to choose from, plus local cold drinks including beers from Glastonbury Ales, wines and ciders. Our cakes are made in our kitchen or have been sourced from local makers. All our food and drink is available to takeaway as well as to dine in.

Development Support

The development of our new farm shop and café has been supported by the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) and The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

The project aims were to create a new and enlarged farm shop and cafe, to support tourist activity and the local community and to create new jobs and investment.
