Middlewick is in the hamlet of Wick just outside Glastonbury at the foot of Glastonbury Tor. Wick is an old word for community or trading place. This farm which dates from the at least the 17th Century would have been in the Middle. It was a farmstead with dairy and sheep and in the 1970s and 1980s it also was the site of a sheepskin manufacturer.
In the late 1980s the farm was converted to holiday cottages. Thatch roofs were taken down and crumbling outbuildings were turned into the cottages that you see now.
