This statement describes the accessibility of The Middlewick Holiday Cottages, Farm Shop, Café and Spa, and is intended to assist guests and visitors with disabilities or mobility requirements in planning their visit.

We are committed to making The Middlewick as welcoming and accessible as possible. If you have any specific requirements or concerns prior to or during your stay, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.

1. About the Site

The Middlewick is a 16-acre rural hospitality site at the foot of Glastonbury Tor, comprising self-catering holiday cottages, glamping pods, a farm shop, café, and spa. The original buildings date from the 16th century and have been converted and extended over time. The site’s historic nature and rural setting mean that some areas present practical limitations for access, particularly for wheelchair users and those with severe mobility impairments. We aim to be transparent about these limitations so that guests can make informed decisions when booking.

  2. Two car parks are available on site, both laid to 10mm clean gravel. The main car park is the larger of the two.
  3. Designated disabled parking bays are available near the café and farm shop entrance.

3. Site Access and Paths

  1. Site paths are a mix of gravel and stone surfaces. Due to the age of the complex, some paths are uneven in places.

  3. The farm shop and café are accessed via a gravelled area with a choice of two steps or a gentle access ramp.
  4. The spa is located at the rear of the site and is accessed via a pathway through the cottage complex. This path includes steps. Guests with mobility requirements are advised to contact us in advance so we can assist with directions and access.
  5. Some cottage doorways and internal stairways are narrow due to the historic nature of the buildings. Floor plans are available on the individual cottage booking pages on our website.
