St Johns Church in Glastonbury is lit up with the lights of 50 Christmas trees.
This event took place in December 2017, look out for it this Christmas 2018.
Open daily from 1030 am the church is a lovely place to visit at any time of year but is particularly special over Christmas.
The trees are decorated by local organisations, schools, businesses and enterprises. Every one is a delight, representing the work and life of the vibrant community of Glastonbury and the local area.
There are refreshments on sale so you can linger longer in this calm and spiritual place.
St. Johns is in the heart of Glastonbury town centre. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is a hearing loop and hymn books and leaflets are available in large print and braille.
Christmas Tree festivals are held all over the UK and St Johns has been hosting Christmas Branches since 2009. There is a switch on service each year. The trees are on display throughout the festive season, bringing colour, light and an array of decorations to the inside of this beautiful building.
There is a full programme of events happening at St John’s over the festive season including the cutting of the Glastonbury Holy Thorn.
