In July we switched our Spa products over to Inlight Beauty. Inspired by their planet-friendly credentials and commitment to the science and the spirituality of beauty, we partnered with Inlight on 3 new treatments: Skinlight, Lightline and Lightflow, and created a bespoke Inlight full day Spa package.

The Inlight team provided training for our Spa therapists at the beginning of the month, and with the range in stock, we’re now ready to offer Spa visitors the Inlight experience.

Sustainable, Luxury Skincare

We chose Inlight because of the products’ incredible quality and all-natural formulas, and because we want to create real results for our clients.

Pressed from organic herbs and blended with nourishing, cold-pressed base oils, these potent, 100% organic botanical formulations help protect skin from harsh chemicals and additives and help us to tread lightly on this beautiful earth.

Organic skincare only needs 1% organic ingredients to be marketed as organic, but Inlight is fully organic. Their range of cleansers, serums, oils and masks are:

All products are vegetarian and many are vegan. Inlight beeswax is harvested once the bees have left that part of the hive. Their Cornish lab is run on 100% green energy and is zero waste, with pressed herbs returning to the earth in the form of compost or even being reused – as in the case of the marigold petals in their herbal Bath Soak, now in stock at The Middlewick Spa.

An Unusual Brand for an Unusual Spa

Inlight could not be more appropriate for The Middlewick Spa, where guests visit us for a dose of nature and magic. We offer facials, massage, and holistic treatments including reflexology and reiki energy healing.

Spa guests frequently tell us “That was more than just a massage!” – they leave our Shepherd’s Hut therapy rooms relaxed, rejuvenated and renewed.

We also use other botanical brands, including Earthy – cruelty-free, nourishing nail polish that comes in around 50 bright shades. Inlight products are the most natural and environmentally friendly we’ve yet found for our treatments.

Good Vibes Only

Part of the Inlight Ethos is that we are all vibration, so what we put into something comes out. Each herbal mix is left in the light of the sun and moon to mature for a month – a full moon cycle and a series of sun cycles. Each day the macerations are nurtured with music and mindful affirmations, empowering them at each stage.

When we visited Inlight HQ, we were allowed to enter the maceration room, where large jars of herbs and oils were maturing on a bed of heated pebbles, surrounded by crystal gemstones and tuning forks.

“No one is allowed to go in if they’re in a bad mood,” Jila, Head of Sales, told us. Luckily, this wasn’t an issue for us (who isn’t happy to be on holiday in Cornwall?).

Why Waterless?

These waterless formulas mimic the skin’s natural oils, leading to better absorption. The right blend of oils can encourage the skin to produce less of its own natural sebum, so if you experience oily or acne-prone skin, don’t be put off. Oil-based beauty can help, not hinder, the skin to find its own natural balance.
