Our Christmas present this year was to commission an original watercolour painting of Middlewick.  We chose a local Somerset artist, Liam O’Farrell to paint it for us.

The Animals all Loved Liam
It was a beautiful day in the summer when Liam came to sketch out the property.

The animals were all fascinated with what he was up to.  One of our hens was particularly keen to help out.

Sketches to choose from
We had the very difficult decision to choose one of the 2 sketches that were sent to us.  One of the rear of the property which Liam preferred but we loved the front of the property.  With the landmark red phone box and the front driveway, it seemed to say Middlewick more.

Now Where Do We Hang It?

Not Really sure where it will go yet.  We may move it around cottages so everyone can enjoy.
