Sound Healing at The Middlewick

There’s something very magical about sound healing, and that’s why we’re so excited to be hosting a series of sound baths facilitated by experienced Sound Healer, Kelly Knight, from Rest and Reignite. Kelly, a long-term friend of ours here at The Middlewick, describes sound therapy as one of the most accessible forms of healing.

Our first session is on 12th February under the powerful light of the Leo full moon. Harness that power; find your roar – anything is possible!

Join us and be bathed in the sound of crystal singing bowls at The Middlewick, near Glastonbury. This is a chance to take some time for you in our stunning hexagonal group space with underfloor heating and perfect acoustics. Book your space for our upcoming events:

What is sound healing, and what do I need to do?

These sessions are a relaxing experience and require very little from you except that you wrap up snugly, lie back and soak up the unique sound vibrations. You’ll be encouraged to enter a meditative state as Kelly makes the crystal healing bowls, tuning forks and the other tools of her art sing.

Where are the sound baths held?

Our hexagonal group space is ideally set up for sound bathing, with its toasty underfloor heating and large windows looking out over the Mendips and the Somerset countryside – connecting you with land and sky.

The Middlewick is a group of holiday cottages and cabins set within the grounds of a 17th century farmstead. We offer Spa facilities, on-site Farm Shop and award-winning Café, which is open 7 days a week. In the evenings we host events including pop-up suppers, pizza nights and wellbeing sessions. These events are available to our holiday cottage guests and the public, but do book in advance: hello@themiddlewick.co.uk.

About the venue

Tucked into 16 acres of orchards, fields and gardens, The Middlewick is an ideal centre for meditation, mindfulness, writing, yoga and healing retreats. We’re a short walk from Glastonbury High Street and Glastonbury Tor, but the serene site feels miles away from the crowds that visit this busy part of Somerset each year.

Glastonbury itself is a unique town where all things New Age rub shoulders with traditional market town shops. Wells, the smallest cathedral city in the UK, is only 5 miles away. Bath, Bristol and Bristol Airport can be reached within the hour. Here’s how to find us.

What should I bring to a sound bath meditation?

Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of 7.30pm and bring:

  • Water to drink
  • Yoga mat / something to lie on
  • Blankets and cushions
  • Snuggly clothes – slippers and oodies encouraged!
  • An intention for the session

Please contact Kelly if lying on the floor is uncomfortable and she will make arrangements for you. Our group space is on one level and accessible via steps or the path (more about accessibility at The Middlewick). Please park in the Guest & Spa car park. Kelly will share the map of the site with you before your session.

How to set your intention for sound therapy

Before you arrive, try to think about what you’d like to get out of the session – this might simply be a delicious hour to yourself, but you may also be seeking a specific type of healing. It’s great to have a clear vision of how you want to feel after the session to let go of anything that isn’t serving you.
