I have been working with Jill White of Rocket 68 over the past few months to create our very own Middlewick map to give our guests ideas of Days out around Glastonbury.
It has been really difficult to include everyone on our map. With so many places to visit here in Somerset it has been hard to squeeze them all on.
I have included a few of my little secret places like the Book Barn which is on the way to Bath. Over a million second-hand books under one roof. And the Shoe Museum in Street is a great place to visit and is only a 5-minute drive from us. It is part of the Clarks Village so you can also get some retail therapy in there at the same time.
Stanton Drew on the way to Bristol is our own little Stone Circle in Somerset. The Mendip Hills AONB have enough going on in there to keep you busy for a few days of visits. For foodies, there is Cheddar Gorge cheese shops and the Yeo Valley Canteen is a short drive away.
For those who want the seaside Burnham, Brean, Weston-super-mare, and Clevedon are all towns that you will enjoy visiting. On your way out to the beach make sure and stop off at the Avalon Marshes to enjoy the wildlife.
The Willows and Wetlands Centre managed to sneak into the map as it is worth a day trip out to from us here in Glastonbury.
We are in the heart of Somerset.
