LEAF Open Farm Sunday is the farming industry’s national open day.

LEAF  which stands for Linking Environment And Farming is one of the farming industry’s biggest success stories. Since the first Open Farm Sunday in 2006, over 1000 farmers across the UK have opened their gates and welcomed people onto their farm for one Sunday each year. It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to discover at first hand what it means to be a farmer and the fabulous work they do producing our food and managing the countryside.

Here at Middlewick we are what is called a smallholding.  We have a few sheep, goats, pigs, horses and chickens.  We also have vegetable and flower gardens which we harvest to sell in our on-site farm shop.  Our 30 chickens provide eggs for the shop.  We also sell lamb and pork from our home reared animals.  Our neighbours have beef cattle and sheep so we sell their home reared meats as well in our Farm shop.
